This agreement authorizes $20,000 in support to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Yakima for the annual Cinco De Mayo Festival held in Downtown Yakima on Saturday, May 5 and May 6. Representatives from the Hispanic Chamber will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer questions about the event.
The agreement includes a provision that the Hispanic Chamber submit a written report to the City Manager no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the event that includes the following details: attendance, financial success of the event and other pertinent post-event information.
Additionally, the agreement states that the City will consider providing funding for the 2019 and 2020 events. The two amounts awarded for each of these two subsequent years will be less than the funding provided the prior year and will be based on funding availability. After 2020, the City will not provide funding for the Cinco De Mayo Festival. |
