ITEM TITLE:Resolution authorizing an Interlocal Agreement with Yakima School District No. 7 for the continuation of the school resource officer program during the 2017-2018 school year for $858,886 with Yakima School District reimbursing $644,164

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

The Yakima School District and the Yakima Police Department desire to enter into a twelve month agreement to provide for School Resource Officer services within the Yakima School District during the 2017-2018 regular school term.  

                                                    

This agreement with the Yakima School District is to retroactively commence on July 1, 2017 and continue through the regular 2017-2018 school session, ending June 30, 2018.  The Agreement is jointly funded by the City of Yakima and the Yakima School District.
