| SUMMARY EXPLANATION: | | At the regular City Council business meeting on January 10, 2017, the Council directed the City Attorney’s office to present a draft of a Resolution declaring the City of Yakima a, “Welcoming City,” for council’s consideration. The attached draft Resolution, if adopted, would declare the City of Yakima a, “Welcoming City,” that respects and welcomes all people. The resolution also states that City employees will serve all residents and all city services will accessible to all residents and directs City staff will continue to assist the City Council in communicating these values on behalf of the City. |
