ITEM TITLE:Miller Park Update

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

Staff has been asked to provide information regarding Miller Park.  The report includes history of the park, amenities in and around the park, improvements that have been made over the last fifteen years, upgrades that need to be made, maintenance information, and safety concerns, including the homeless population.

 

Along with the Miller Park report is a memo from City Legal - "Current Ordinances Activities in Parks."

The issues regarding Miller Park were discussed at the September 29, 2016 Public Safety Committee meeting and this report will be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Commission on October 12, 2016.
