The Council Nominating Committee, consisting of Mayor Byers, Assistant Mayor Brown, and Councilmember Janice Deccio interviewed candidates for the Yakima Planning Commission (YPC) on April 29th and May 2nd for the four newly created positions. The term of office for each appointed member is four years, with terms expiring on June 30, 2028.
The Nominating Committee recommends the appointment of; Jeff Baker, Anne Knapp, Philip Ostriem, and Shelley (Katherine) White to the Yakima Planning Commission.
Additionally, the Nominating Committee recommends the appointment of Cassie Hull to the Hotel/Motel Commission of the Tourist Promotion Area (TPA). |
