The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) through Section 5307 ARP Funds has awarded the City of Yakima (City) grant funding in the amount of $328,037 to be used towards the purchase of three para-transit ADA vans as part of Yakima Transit’s Capital Vehicle Replacement Plan. This funding is 100% with no local match required.
The para-transit ADA vans will be ordered in the first quarter of 2024 and is anticipated to be delivered sometime in the third quarter of 2024. In order to receive this funding, it is necessary for the City and FTA to enter into Grant Agreement WA-2023-030-00 which has been attached for City Council review. |
