Resolution declaring certain rolling stock surplus and authorizing the City Manager to dispose of said property in a manner most beneficial to the City of Yakima

The City of Yakima (City) owns various used rolling stock for which the City has no immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus to the needs of the City.  The City’s Street Division has determined Equipment Rental assets ER3180, 2004 Peterbilt 320 Water Truck, and ER6071, 2000 Wirtgen Self-Propelled Asphalt Grinder, to be surplus equipment as they have approached the end of their useful life-expectancy.  Both ER3180 and ER6071 have estimated values that exceed the $15,000 threshold which requires City Council approval to be declared surplus before they are allowed to go to auction.
