The City of Yakima has been working with the Department of Ecology (DOE) to clean up the former Tiger Oil site located at 2312 W Nob Hill Blvd. Characterization of the site has been completed. DOE has now moved the City into remediation efforts to clean up the site. The City Council selected Haley Aldrich in Resolution R-2022-174 to begin the remediation efforts at this site on 12/14/2022. Remediation is an iterative process and Task 1a - 1e have been completed.
The City recommends entering into a Supplemental Agreement 1 with Haley & Aldrich Inc to continue the design and remediation of the 2312 W Nob Hill Blvd Site Cleanup project, which includes contaminated soil removal, monitoring well replacements, and a groundwater interim action. Tasks 1e2 - 1g are estimated at $112,562 and is funded with a DOE grant requiring a 10% match. |
