Gary Lofland has appealed a land use decision of the Hearing Examiner. As part of the procedure, the parties are allowed time to file memoranda prior to the hearing date. YMC 16.08.025 allows a party to ask the City Council to grant an extension. Mr. Lofland has asked in writing to extend the deadline for him to submit his memorandum thirty days due to a family emergency. His email correspondence to Cally Price requesting the extension is included with these materials. It is dated January 23, 2023, and was received prior to the initial deadline, as required in the ordinance. The proposed order is included for your review and would move the deadline for Mr. Lofland’s submission to March 10, 2023.
The Council may approve the extension by Motion if it wishes: “I move that Mr. Lofland’s request for an extension be granted and the proposed order be entered in this matter.” |
