The Washington State Department of Transportation selected the City of Yakima to receive a 2022 Supplemental Transportation Budget State Funding award of $1,000,000 for the 34th/Fruitvale/River Road project. This project is on the Six Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) list. The additional funds will go towards improvements consisting of the construction of dual roundabouts; one at the intersection of 34th Ave and Fruitvale Boulevard and one at River Road and 34th Ave. There is no match requirement for this Award. |
